International Youth Adventure Camp 2024

This July, get ready for an epic adventure at the International Youth Adventure Camp, hosted by the Cyprus Mountaineering & Climbing Federation (KOMOAAP)!

As proud members of the Cyprus Sports Organization and the Cyprus Olympic Committee, we bring your kids the coolest, most unforgettable summer experience ever.

Join us in the spectacular Troodos Mountains of Cyprus for six days and five nights of pure fun and adventure. Your kids will make new friends, laugh, and learn as they dive into activities like hiking, orienteering, climbing, archery, and all sorts of exciting adventure games.

Our New Accommodation🏠

During the camp, children will stay at the Green Valley Mountain Hut in Kakopetria, the north-facing foothills of the Troodos mountains. Our safe and comfortable accommodation provides a restful haven after our thrilling adventures. Children will have the opportunity to unwind, recharge, and get ready for the next day's excitement!

Activities That Ignite Adventure

At the International Youth Adventure Camp, children will get the chance to dive into a world of thrilling activities that will unleash their inner adventurer! Here's a closer look at what awaits our little campers:

🥾Hiking

Children will lace up their sturdy hiking boots and explore the breathtaking trails of the Troodos mountains. They will discover hidden gems, witness stunning views, and connect with nature in its purest form.

🧭Orienteering

Our little campers will sharpen their navigation skills and embark on exhilarating orienteering challenges. With a compass in hand and a keen sense of direction, they will discover hidden treasures and race against the clock to find their way to victory.

⛰️Climbing (Optional)

Children who want an extra dose of excitement and a steep challenge will strap on their harnesses to conquer towering cliffs and rock walls. Under the guidance of experienced instructors, the little campers will learn the art of climbing and test their strength and agility.

🏹Archery

Our campers will channel their inner Robin Hood and aim for the bullseye in our thrilling archery sessions. They will learn the art of precision, improve their focus, and let their arrows fly with grace and accuracy.

🏆Adventure Games

Children will participate in heart-pumping adventure games that will boost their teamwork, strategy, and quick-thinking skills. From thrilling treasure hunts to problem-solving activities, these games will push our campers’ limits, foster friendships, and create memories that will last forever.

1💡 What is the language spoken at the camp?

The primary languages spoken at the camp are Greek, English & Russian. Our staff members are multilingual and can assist campers, regardless of what language they speak.

2💡 Where do campers sleep?

Campers sleep at the federations Green Valley Mountain Hut in Kakopetria, the north-facing foothills of the Troodos mountains. They have comfortable accommodations with normal beds inside the Hut. There may be one night of camping in tents for a unique outdoor experience.

3💡 Are there any specific requirements for equipment or gear?

For most activities, we provide the necessary equipment and gear. However, we recommend campers bring their own personal items such as appropriate footwear, a water bottle, and a backpack. The full list of required items can be found here.

4💡 What safety measures are in place during the camp?

Safety is our top priority. Our staff members are trained in first aid and CPR, and we have strict safety protocols for all activities. Rest assured, your child will be in good hands.

5💡 What if my child has dietary restrictions or food allergies?

We take dietary restrictions and food allergies seriously. Our menu, curated by a nutritionist, includes options for various dietary needs. Please inform us in advance about any specific dietary requirements or allergies, and we will ensure appropriate accommodations are made.

6💡 What happens in case of bad weather?

While we strive to conduct activities as planned, the safety of our campers is our top priority. In case of bad weather, we have alternative indoor activities and contingency plans in place to ensure a continued engaging and enjoyable camp experience.

7💡 Should campers bring pocket money?

Participants are typically encouraged to bring a designated amount of pocket money for use at the camp’s canteen.

8💡 Are there any off-site activities or field trips?

The camp may organise off-site activities or field trips. Parents/guardians will be required to provide consent for their ward’s participation in these activities unless explicitly specified otherwise.
